Rejuvenate your skin with laser skin treatment
Skin Rejuvenation using ELOS is a laser treatment used to improve the overall appearance of your complexion using a combination of two different types of energy - light and radiofrequency.
This treatment is intended for a variety of vascular and pigmented skin conditions – including Rosacea, “broken” vessels and sun spots. Treatment sessions are performed using a combination of two different types of energy – light and radio frequency. Both these ranges work together to provide selective thermolysis, or heat, to the targeted areas. This results in heating of the blood within the veins leading to the obliteration of the vessel. With pigment, the light “shatters” it into fragments. A treatment session lasts approximately 30 minutes with further treatments necessary 4-6 weeks later.
At your initial consultation we will discuss how many treatments are necessary. This is approximately between one and five treatments. However to avoid disappointment you should expect five treatments, as everyone responds to treatment differently and expectations of what people are wanting to achieve varies. We have found that the majority of our clients achieve a satisfactory result after five treatments. It is possible to have further ELOS treatments should you wish to continue to enhance your complexion.
Before treatment begins it is very important that you prepare your skin so that it is as healthy as it possibly can be. At Absolute Bliss we recommend the introduction of Vitamins A and C to prepare the skin before your ELOS treatments begin. It is also very important to use a broad spectrum sunscreen every day, even in winter, to prevent further damage from appearing. At your initial consultation your trained laser operator will explain everything in detail to you and recommend a skincare regime for at-home use prior and post treatment.
Treatment can be uncomfortable, “like being flicked with a rubber band” however most people tolerate this sensation. If you are at all concerned about discomfort levels we recommend taking paracetamol approximately one hour before treatment.
After treatment, improvement in the skin’s overall appearance is very gradual. The results following treatment are not instant, you need to give your skin time to respond to treatment. As your skin starts to replenish itself over the next 4-6 weeks you will notice it begins to look a lot fresher with reduction in unsightly vessels, pigmentation and less flushing.
Immediately After Your ELOS Skin Rejuvenation Treatment:
• You will need to apply cold compresses to the treated area immediately after your treatment and possibly throughout the day as the area that has been treated will feel and look hot. This will subside within a few hours.
• Some swelling may occur, if this does happen it usually subsides within the first 1-2 days.
• Areas of pigmentation will darken immediately after treatment, then lighten as days progress after treatment.
• Your skin will feel fragile for the first couple of days. This is completely normal.
• Sometimes the treated area may blister. If blistering does occur, please contact us immediately for advice and care.
